About this project
The Project:
As soon as I heard the song McDonalds For the Mind, I knew I would have to work with Nathan to create a music video for the track.
Since agreeing to work together the track has been shortlisted for the 2011 Mojo New Voice award. Nathan will hear in a few weeks whether he is through to the next round
It's not just that the song is great, it's the message, which in these rapidly consolidating mass media times is something I'm passionate about. This video will be all about finding fun ways to get our minds thinking, and it's a great new medium through which people can enjoy Nathan's music.
Where are we shooting?
The video will be shot over three days in Brighton England. We have grand plans for the video, but are doing it on a shoestring. Nathan and the band will be travelling from their various gigs all over the UK for the shoot, and a group of extremely helpful and willing volunteers is being assembled!
We're still location scouting, but plan to use at least 4 / 5 locations, including in some public spaces
Where the money will go:
I already own the bulk of the camera equipment needed for the video, but there are a number of things that that we need - the hiring or purchase of a dolly, studio hot-lights, a specialist tilt/shift lens etc...
No-one's getting paid for this project, everyone involved is volunteering their time.
Shooting film is time-consuming and expensive, every extra penny raised over the $2500 minimum will help us to make an even better video.
Please get involved!
We hope you can get involved in the project, please take the time to listen to Nathan's song, it's the kind of song that I think we need right now, and Nathan deserves all the exposure and credit he can get - he's not only an amazingly talented musician, he's also a really nice guy.
We've set our goal purposefully low - in the hope that we can secure funding. Every extra penny raised will go towards making this an even better production, so please, if you like the song - get involved!
