Update #6: New KickStarter
Hi Everyone. Thank you again for your donations last year.
We're getting the ship ready for this year and we have some awesome plans. To help us finish the ship we've put together another KickStarter campaign.
Please check it out to learn about the "Sails of Fire"
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/127652446/finish-the-cs-tere
You can also help us spread the word. We have a very short time line and the more people that know about it the better our chances. A single dollar means a lot to us.
Thank you so much,
Captain Andy

Update #5: It works!!!
We did our test drive down the street, and she sails like a dream.
Thank you for your donations. While our KickStarter is coming to an end we will continue to work and finish this crazy machine. Please follow along with us on the website:
And our Facebook Fan page:

Update #4: First Test Drive
We had our First Test Drive tonight. We had a few stumbling points. But they were all quick fixes when diagnosed, (including a mixed up label on a toggle switch). But this is experimental, and if it worked perfectly the first time we tried then we weren't dreaming far enough.
However, with our small problems fixed we got to test drive, and damn what a feeling....We only went out of the driveway and back in a few times. It was dark out and we only had one halogen light to drive by. Tomorrow we will go again, this time up and down the street.
We have 48 hours left to make donations, I know we hit our goal but I also know I am going to be digging out of my savings to get her finished. Any additional donations are a huge help and much appreciated.
Thanks again,
Captain Andy
Update #3: We build the things you see in Dreams
Thanks for all your Donations. We are going to hit our goal and make this thing happen.
We have the money to get there but any extra donations will be used to add those extra things we've been hoping to have. I won't say more, because we are incredibly grateful for what you have given us. Your donations have made this possible.
Tomorrow is our test drive. I will get a video of that.
Until the test drive, here is a video that wouldn't fit on KickStarter so we posted it to YouTube.

Thank you,
Captain Andy

Hello Captain Andy,
Wondering if you have any more of the Embroidered patches. I never did receive mine from last year. If not no worries. It is a great project and looked amazing on the Playa. Thank you for all your hard work and imagination.Nvdawg

David,
They should have all been mailed out last September. I'll look into it.... For some reason we didn't receive your address until this April. I'll get one in the mail to you today. Sorry about the wait.

Update #2: Test
This last week we were able to test the Hydraulics on the Pirate Ship. We hope to test the ship by driving it up and down the street this next weekend.
Here is a little teaser video.
Update #1: Break Neck Speed
Thank you for your donations. The email notifications every time a donation is made have been a huge boost to morale on the ship. We know we have a lot of work to do and we know how hard it is going to be, but each donation is cheering us on to finish. So thank you, you are not just buying parts that we need, you are lifting our spirits and carrying us forward.
So with that support there has been a lot of new work done to the Pirate Ship since the last video.
Watch the video and check the construction blog for more details. I think you will enjoy it.
Also please share this link with your friends and family, we still have a long way to go before we hit our goal. Thank you for your help, your donations really do mean a lot to us.
