fairy tale animals is a fine art photographic portrait series depicting animals from childhood tales and memories.
Hello!
My name is Peter Samuels, I am a commercial and fine art photographer based out of San Francisco, California. The kickstarter project I'm proposing is a children's book bringing modern visuals to nostalgic fairy tales called:
fairy tale animals - a stoic and endearing portrayal of animal characters from childhood tales and memories.
Please also consider this a way to sponsor my effort and pre-oder prints that will cost more after after the collection is complete.
The book project will consist of 10-15 animal portraits and their tales. Including but not limited to: wolf • monkey • piglet • swan • vulture • cow • lamb • goat • sheep and a toad.
Each spread in the giftable beautifully printed hardcover book will have a full page animal portrait along with the full corresponding fairy tale. An e-book version will be produced as well.
The bulk of cost goes to transport and rental of the animals, then a very talented book designer, printing costs, crew and studio expenses on set, gift fulfilment and kickstater fees.
I can't tell you how excited I am to be asking you, the kickstarter community, to be a part of my project and make this fairy tale a reality.
