Dream journey to Japan explores the culture through the eyes of a teen. Experiential blog, plus book w/ codes linking to trip videos.
MY PROJECT:
I will blog throughout the entire trip and upon my return, I will publish a unique, experiential book, with each chapter reflecting a specific part of my journey. Each chapter will also include scan codes which will link readers directly to the actual trip videos (via mobile phone or device), so they can truly 'experience' my journey through Japan.
MY GOAL:
My ultimate goal is to share my experience with other teenagers in the U.S. in order to promote diversity and educate them about Japan. I feel this is important because, as I've witnessed first hand, people begin to form opinions about different cultures (both positive and negative) during this stage of life. Sadly, this is often an uninformed opinion. My love for Japan certainly has not dwindled over the years but has grown stronger. I hope that through my experiences you will come to love Japan too, or more than you already do!
HOW THE MONEY WILL BE USED:
The money will be used for video production, video editing/post-production and book publishing fees. It will also be used to market to high schools within central Ohio and beyond, as well as off-setting additional expenses incurred through travel.
