Found an old photograph today that was hidden under another. It's of Smith's Vinalhaven Band. The names of all the band members are inscribed on the back of the frame in pencil. Unfortunately, the wood on the backing has darkened over time and some of the names are impossible to read. But my Grandfather is in the photo and his name is legible. I may be able to get more info by scanning the back and applying some filters to bring out the contrast. Anyone have any ideas? I may also have information from the Historical Society for this. 

The research continues.
