Howdy - I'm Jamie Reed.
Are you a fan of meat, maps & paper hats? Of course you are! I'm a graphic designer by day & screen printing robot by night (HumanShapedRobot) living just north of Charlotte, NC. After a recent move - my printing equipment will be packed away in storage for several months - so I'll need your help to make my United Steaks poster a reality!
The United Steaks
I've designed a map featuring each state as a tasty, tasty slab of meat. It's sure to complete any kitchen, office or manly area. Each state is drawn to scale & shows the major rivers as marbling. Regional information is based on the official United States census... hey I didn't think Maryland was part of the South either!
This 3 color poster will be screen printed locally on 100# Berrylicious paper from the French Paper Co. & ship rolled in a sturdy kraft tube. Minimum edition is 100 - but will be determined by the final amount of backers.
Funds will go towards printing/shipping materials & production expenses.
All backers receive a paper butchers hat stamped with a United Steaks logo.
Backer's that donate at the "U.S. Prime" level will also receive this bonus bacon print - it's 12.5" x 19" and printed on 100# Pink Lemonade paper with black ink.
If funded - I will send final art files at the end of the 30 day duration. The print process will take about 2 weeks - so materials should arrive late Feb. & be shipped to you by mid/end of March at the latest. Thanks so much for your consideration and support!
Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
The design is complete & materials have been spec'd - so there is not much risk or challenge pertaining to the production of the posters or additional collateral. I have quoted several dependable printers and also have a good idea of the turnaround time.
The biggest challenge will come during the assembly of all the printed & shipping materials. I'm experienced in packing and shipping posters but making sure I have all the correct addresses is priority number one. Please make sure to complete the survey at the end of the project & double check before you submit!

Unfortunately there's not a great way to pledge or keep track of this... I've added the "Double Meat" reward after many requests. I may add a third option down the line but wanted to limit if at two for now. Please keep an eye out for update & thanks for the support!
