DVD release News: Peccapix.com - Peccadillo Pictures is releasing JJANT on APRIL 9 in the UK and Ireland on DVD and VOD. Yay! Update #23: "Jamie and Jessie are Not Together" Chicago debut Oct. 28-Nov. at Siskel!
We are super excited that our queer Musical Romance, "Jamie and Jessie are Not Together", (which YOU helped make happen with your support), will make it's Chicago debut at the Gene Siskel Film Center from October 28th through November 3rd. The theater is located at: 164 North State Street - Chicago, IL 60601.
Our OPENING NIGHT is Friday October 28th at 8:15PM, with much of the CAST & CREW in person, plus a fab after-party nearby.
We premiered the film in June in San Francisco, then Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Durham, where we received a Jury Award for Best Feature Film! Wendy Jo Carlton is a filmmaker, writer, and photographer with a background in radio production, teaching, and media activism. Carlton is a former artist-in-residence at 911 Media Arts in Seattle and a recipient of the Navona Fellowship from the University of Illinois Chicago, where she earned a graduate degree in film/new media. Her award-winning narrative and experimental short films have screened internationally, including the American Film Institute, Sundance, and many other festivals. In addition to founding a media literacy program for teen girls called Chicks Make Flicks, Carlton works as a field producer for Sirius Radio and PBS Television and teaches at Columbia College.
Wendy Jo directed Emmy-award winning actor Sharon Gless in the title role of the feature film, Hannah Free, now out on DVD through Wolfe Video and iTunes. http://hannahfree.com
"Jamie & Jessie are Not Together" is Wendy Jo's third feature film project as director, and she is also the screenwriter. Wendy Jo is currently developing other feature film projects for the future of the production company, Juicy Planet Pictures.
