My glorious Kickstarter family...today's the day! The Ulysses Cycle is now officially released for sale to the public! I've been anticipating this moment for so long, I can hardly believe it's finally here. Thank you for making it happen.

If you'd like to help this album reach more ears & eyes, there are two super-easy things that YOU can do...and if you're so inclined, it's especially helpful to do them today, on the first day of the release!

1. Write a review at the Ropeadope Store and/or iTunes
2. Post a link on your Facebook wall to http://store.ropeadope.com/product/ulysses

The first week of an album's release can set the tone for its future sales, so the more people are talking about it on opening day the better!

And by the way, your CDs and Magnets are going out in the mail right away, just as soon as they get back from the factory! Thank you so much for your patience, I know you're gonna enjoy them.

Lovely people!  Some great news from Ulysses-land.  The  kind folks at Ropeadope Records and I have decided to send all of our Kickstarter backers ADVANCE digital copies of the record next week...a whole month ahead of schedule!

Next Thursday you can expect an email from Ropeadope with a special download code  (check your spam folder next Friday if you don't see it).  Remember that if you'll be listening on an iPhone or iPod, you should keep your eyes on the screen to follow the story and take in all of Slavka's amazing illustrations!

We're excited for the official public release on April 16, but we couldn't resist giving a special preview to the people who made this possible.  When April rolls around we're gonna need your help to get the word out!  But until then, just sit back and enjoy the music, art, and what we think is a groundbreaking new album-listening experience.

Hey you glorious backers you.  Exciting things are afoot in Ulysses Cycle land and I just wanted to share our progress & plans...

Last week we recorded an overdub by classical choral sensations New York Polyphony.  These guys are consummate professionals, nice as hell, and some of the best singers I've ever heard.  The vocal they recorded is really haunting and beautiful, and I'm so proud to have it in the piece...it's definitely not something you expect on a jazz record!

And THIS weekend, producer Adam Gold and I will embark on a 4-day mixing/recording marathon at The Bunker.  The band and I will be recording the last 4 songs, and we're mixing all 20 (not much time, but fortunately engineer John Davis is a genius).  By this time next week, we'll have a fully mixed record!
