About this project
Thank you for considering "Hollywood Gamble," a comedy/horror featurette film (35 minutes), where an aspiring actor sublets a Hollywood apartment with eccentric neighbors, a history of murder, and a haunting spirit that must be set free. At the heart of our movie, beneath the humor and the horror, is the collective dream and creative force of more than 40 young and wonderfully promising Cast and Crew members, mostly from the neighborhood of Franklin Village in Hollywood, and all of whom have taken the "Hollywood Gamble" in his or her own individual way. Our hope and goal is to screen "Hollywood Gamble" at several film festivals to help blossom the aspirations of everybody who worked on the movie. We shot the principal footage in August 2010 and now we are seeking Kickstarter friends' support and sponsorship to help with post-production costs and film festival fees. Our remaining tasks include color correction, sound synchronization, sound effects, an original score, and fine-tune editing. Please check out our website and Facebook links, below, to learn more about us. Thanks and best wishes, David Silberman Writer/Producer Director DCFLAV@gmail.com

Born and raised in the small east coast town of Washington, DC, David Silberman delved into creative writing at an age of crayons and later majored in Creative Writing at the University of California-Riverside with a focus on screenwriting. After eight years of varied complications and dizzying expressions of interest in his feature screenplays, he wrote "Hollywood Gamble" with the hope of finally seeing his words come to life on the big screen.
