A short about lying, fantasy, imagination and maturity.
Hi! Welcome to our Kickstarter page. The purpose of this page is to raise completion funds for the 30-minute short film Wednesday With Anna. The film has been shot and edited into a rough cut, and the money we raise will be used for additional photography, sound mixing, color grading, music rights and scoring. Please check out our pledge rewards to the right, and read on to learn more about the project.
In Case You're Not Familiar With Kickstarter
You can find the basics here, but all you really need to know is that if you'd like to back the project, just click the green Back This Project button at the top right of the page. It's also good to know that Kickstarter is all-or-nothing funding, so if we don't reach our goal, we don't receive any of the pledges and the project doesn't get funded. That's why every contribution means so much to us, and why we've worked really hard to put together some great rewards that are unique to our project. We really want to finish this movie so you and the rest of the world can see it.
The Story
The narrative follows 25-year-old Sam through one day as he pursues Anna, a college student he met at the library, who is now dating his brother, Roy. Sam searches for the reason Anna chose Roy over him, and in the course of his search is forced into an essential stage in maturity: the realization that you can't, through the force of your will and desire, re-arrange reality to accommodate your fantasies. Because if you could, life would be terrible.

Honorary Crewton Membership Award
The Crewtons is a gang founded by Wednesday With Anna crew members Min Soo and Kristin (hair & makeup). Jade (script supervisor), Chris, and Anthony are other members. The gang colors are plaid. The gang weapon is a small knife. The main requirement of members is that they have good verbal facility. This is because the knife is very small and members must explain convincingly to their rivals that it is very sharp and would hurt badly if used. Honorary members will receive a video of the gang handshake.

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
Our main challenge will be completing these phases of post-production in the time our budget affords us. Color correction, for example, can cost around $1000 a day, which is the entire amount allotted to it in our budget. Our movie is 30 minutes long and might require more than one day to color correct properly. We'll draw on connections and friends we've made while working in the production industry to find deals, but it will still be a challenge. The same is true for sound mixing, scoring, and picking up shots that we weren't able to get during principal photography. We've set our goal at the minimum amount we can get the movie done for, and any money we raise beyond our goal will go towards a more thorough treatment of these phases of post-production and, if we raise enough, towards festival submissions.
