The Restoration.
In LA looking at every single frame of STYLE WARS. Some places, lots of damage. Working on color correction. These guys doing the restoration are brilliant. Patient, too.
Funded! This project successfully raised its funding goal on December 7, 2011.

As you all know, we still have a kinda big ways to go to have enough money in the pot to restore the entire film. If Netflix bought rights to streaming STYLE WARS, that would bring in needed $$$. Streaming worldwide would be cool. Right this minute would you help us by logging into Netflix and put Style Wars in your queue? Show your love to Netflix for STYLE WARS. Thank you!
terror 161 (aka the Google of graf) wrote about the Tony Silver piece on the train: "is by skeme."
About Tony and Burleigh wearing the haz suits: Quik says it's the E and F yard (thanks Quik) so it has to be the day we shot the buff. Tony and Burleigh had to get into the poison mists to get the shots.
One word expresses appreciation at this moment of successfully funding the outtakes from STYLE WARS: Gratitude.
Gratitude to every single backer who has made seeing the outtakes a certainty!
Gratitude to single backer who has taken us over the top .... past the goal, spilling energy, kindness and love for STYLE WARS. The restoration of the entire film looks like it will certainly happen. What a moment! A great, big, fat, huge moment!
You've seen photographs in these UPDATES of me and Tony during production. That was then. Twenty-nine years ago. And once again on a NYC rooftop, there we were just a few years ago.
Tony's spirit lives on.
STYLE WARS lives on. THANK YOU!
