The Circus is coming! 

The Magic Circus and the Gypsy Caravan has arrived. They rumbled in during the dark of night and when the morning light broke, their bright flags were snapping in the blue, blue sky and the sweet refrain of the calliope floated on the breeze. Their painted wagons and striped canvas tents have set up camp in my imagination and the delightful ideas and dazzling images are popping like so much crazy popcorn in my head. It's so, so wonderful, I can think of little else.

The Circus has taken me away.

For the next 60 days and nights I will visit the extraordinary world of the carnival and carousel in watercolor, pastels, vintage beads, recycled fabric and glittery yarn, creating enchanting characters and collectible artwork especially for you.

My dream of creating this exciting body of new work for a one woman show is partnered with my desire to finally put to good use all of the artist materials, oddities and ephemera I have collected over many, many years and of course, to celebrate the CIRCUS! The celebration will culminate in October 2012 with "The Greatest Show on Earth!" my one woman show at a gallery yet to be named.      Step right up! Step right up!

Russian bears dance,
A beautiful lady balances high on a wire,
An old gypsy tells your fortune,
