Update #4: Here is a message from a dear friend of ours. We were blown away by this.

Posted on March 21

I am excited about something musical that’s happening right now: it’s called Resolution 15. They are a band; a Heavy Metal band, and a lot else besides. The musicians in this band come from diverse backgrounds. There’s a lot of conservatory in their backgrounds, and some street also. Their hard rhythms are based on drums, bass, and violins. Yes, violins. And vocals. Big, howling vocals that come from somewhere deep and dark and blast the eardrums. Just how I like to be sung to, wherever I am.

So while many pay lip service to notions of oneness, to obliterating borders, and to unifying humanity, these guys are doing it, singing it, creating it – proven by the fact that I, not exactly a typical tough guy headbanger, can call myself part of their cortege. I am ready for a world beyond ghettos – ghettos of culture, of sex, of race and class. I am ready to hear their message and I think a lot of other people are too – people who want music from people who mean what they sing, whatever they are singing and whatever language or supposed “style.” All I ask from musicians is that they believe what they are saying. This is true for me in my work as an author on classical music and as a producer for the Metropolitan Opera. I demand this, from the opera house to the sidewalk (which is perhaps a shorter distance than many would have us believe). But if we want musicians to answer to the people, then we must support the musicians who are playing to our best aspirations. If this music or this message resonates with you on any level, then participate in promulgating it. Donate to the Kickstarter campaign– the goal listed is the minimum needed to make this recording happen. Any overage will not be wasted.Thank you for checking this out. Thank you even more if you, too, can be an active part of it.

Update #3: STAGE 1 is done!!! Now on to STAGE 2

Posted on March 18

THANK YOU!!!  THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!

You're generosity is humbling and inspiring. We are very excited to announce that our recording dates have been booked, and if all goes according to plan you will have a brand new CD in your hands by the end of May. You guys are amazing! We love you a lot.

We would like to use the final seven days to push to $15,000. This would make us able to cover extras- extra studio days, special artwork, new merch, new videos, more PR- you get the idea. The more we raise, the more we can do.

Our 3rd and final video introduces you to Alanna Kaivalya and Monica Chung. Alanna is one of the great yoga teachers of her generation. Monica is not only a fabulous pianist, but competed on season 2 of Masterchef and has had her recipes published by Williams-Sonoma. Both are dear friends and long-time supporters of our band, and they have volunteered their incomparable services to our rewards tier. Alanna has donated a private yoga class with just Res15 and the other backers at that tier. She is a master of adjustments and sequencing, and is also fun. This is a rare treat to get individual attention from a person with her experience and knowledge. Or you could choose to go with Monica, who has volunteered to prepare a meal for you and the guys of R15. From personal experience, you have to taste Monica's food to believe it. It's that good. Either option involves being in the room with all of Res15 at the same time, either eating or sweating through a yoga class. Either experience would be priceless. Come on! Look at the video, and picture those guys in a yoga class!

Alanna and Monica are ready, so we ask you to help us for the final push. If you have already donated, please share one of our videos with your friends and family and help us get them on board. If you have not, now's the time!! Let's make Stage 2 happen!

Thank you so much from Resolution15! WE LOVE YOU!

Update #2: we're almost there!!!

Posted on March 11

Hi everyone!

We're at 75% funded with 14 days left, with $7,625.00 is currently pledged toward the $10,000.00 goal. THANK YOU all so much for your support!

This is the final push, so please spread the word...Get your friends to check us out and see why you love us!

(Personally, I'm most looking forward to wearing my two hats, one that says "compliments" and the other saying "insults" and handing out those rewards in a couple of months. Please warn me if you're going to bring rotten fruit to the show.)

SVAHA!!!

Update #1: 6 Days and almost 1/3 of the way there

Posted on January 31

Hi everyone! A big thanks to everyone who has already jumped on board, and a welcome to anyone still considering it. We are astounded and humbled by the big way people have shown their support to our cause. Less than a week, and we're nearly 1/3 of the way there! SVAHA!

By way of update- we have most of the music for the new record written and are rehearsing it. We have a show on February 17th in Greenpoint, Brooklyn that we will try at least one new song live. Should be a blast. The Facebooks is the place to find info on that show. But, we're enjoying how the new tracks are evolving, show or no.

The screens for the t-shirts we will be sending your way are being created. We're doing the shirts by hand ourselves. We hope that appeals to you. We should have a new fun video up soon.

That's all for now! Thanks again!
