About this project
Mad Rook is a new publication providing an exchange of ideas and laughs which spark our readers to ponder their individual role in society and encourage public participation. We will publish essays, articles, illustrations, reviews, columns, comic strips, videos and more which profile contemporary American issues and encourage our youthful adults to champion cultural and social attitudes that strengthen our communities, relationships and identities.
This magazine will for the most part be an online endeavor, but this project is an effort to print the first issue, titled "Generations." The 26-page inaugural issue will contain 3 long articles and several short articles covering topics related to generational identity and learning from other generations. A handful of different authors have already contributed content to this first issue.
A copy will be distributed to sponsors of this project who pledge at least $15. Those pledging at least $50 will receive recognition of the contribution in the print magazine and on the website. Funds exceeding the $750 goal (minimum to print) will be put toward the cost of publishing future issues.
Moving forward, Mad Rook will continue to publish content on our website every four weeks. Future issues may or may not be printed, based on demand for that medium and volume of subscriptions. I encourage you to read our vision for the magazine at: http://www.madrook.com/...
