What We Are

Fort Lauderdale Online is a start-up website that was launched just a few months ago to showcase the many facets of Life in South Florida. It is the only multimedia online magazine designed for both the locals and visitors of our area.

Fort Lauderdale Online serves as a model template for future websites to be launched in other urban areas. We have been approched many times to replicate our format in other cities.

The Video

First time effort, a big learning curve- but tons of fun!  It may be a couple minutes longer than others, but we wanted you get a feel for our great town and an idea of what Fort Lauderdale Online is all about!   Additional info about our incredible music contributor PALO! below.

Our Aim

This is an exciting town with so much to offer.  Often, even the residents are not aware of all the great events, interesting news and changes going on- and many visitors only get a feel for the beaches. We make every effort to share the many sides of Fort Lauderdale.

Some of the website categories are Entertainment, Cultural Arts, Local Beat, Calendar of Events, Sports, Health & Wellness, Boating & Marinas, The Beach Scene, Food & Libations, Attractions, Golf Directory and a lot more!

We really want to show what an amazing town Fort Lauderdale has become. We are off to a roaring start, but we want to make some final improvements.

We would love your support so we can make these changes. Funding would go towards additional technical support for the expansion of these catagories and ad management software.

Project Goals.

- Many of our readers want more performing arts features and events reported - so we would like to develop that new page.

- Complete and publish our Restaurant Guide which is in hot demand- and will help our future sustainability!

- By demand, we have been urged to expand our Sports Page- offering more professional, local and youth sports features- complete with a forum!  We love our sports in South Florida!

-  We have had several college and high school students write articles, produce great videos and intern with us. We would like to offer many more of them a platform of their own to showcase their talents. Developing a new multimedia arts, music & video page just for them would make a great addition

A Bit About Fort Lauderdale

Whereas Fort Lauderdale may have been the land of college breaks, strip malls and parking lots, we have come a long way from those days. We now have a vibrant downtown with a revived riverfront community, high-rise business center and a restored historic district. Downtown is also where you will find science and art museums, a bustling shopping area, restaurants and great nightlife.

Of course it's not just about the downtown.  We are all about our South Florida neighbors, the amazing Broward County Parks system, the wild Everglades, local sporting venues and of course the beach!

Fort Lauderdale has woken up to the 21st century in an exciting and diverse way. A young, multinational population has turned this town into a mecca of cultural arts, prosperity and ecological responsibility. The desire to embrace our many heritages and lifestyles shows in so many ways.  Whether it’s cheering on the Strikers Football Club (soccer!) or sharing our cultures with festivals- we are in it together!

The future looks bright for our town, so stick around and see for yourself!
