Kickstarter

Well, it sure has been an interesting year! We have had a good amount of change and Suite D has certainly been part of that!  

Up until now, we have been able to provide 107 rewards out of the 133 due to our backers. As with any new project there seem to be bumps in the road, and right now we are having our share!  We have been working towards getting our permanent Beer & Wine license - and we are almost there - hopefully in the next few weeks we will be licensed!  While we are waiting for this to come through we are now addressing some of the County's questions regarding the mixed usage of the location. All seems hopeful, just slowing down the fun times that we were busy planning! 

Creativity is not something we are lacking in our 8th Street neighborhood - so we will keep our THINK TANK thinking and keep you posted on what happens next. In the meantime, we can produce your events and cook your food as long as there are no libations required (oh - that's right!~ we live in Wine Country! a party in wine country without beer or wine is hardly considered a party! true - false?)

As we continue to create and run the other restaurants, the D CAFE at Suite D is evolving slowly. The pictures here are a few shots showing the D CAFE layout. We were hoping to launch January 9th, but we are not sure now --- STAY TUNED IN  - we will make this happen!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

It has been an incredible ride and we are just beginning to play!!! We can't thank all of you enough for believing in our crazy ideas and jumping on the bandwagon with us. We are still fulfilling your rewards and if we have not planned yours yet - don't worry, there is plenty of time! 

We still see the space as a place of endless opportunities and to date we have presented the following:
a baby shower, a memorial party with a band, dinner and a movie, wine club parties, wine dinners, video shoots, cooking classes, ping pong tournament, pizza party, musical appearances by talented local musicians, IPAD book launch, corporate board meeting, reliving ESTATE at Suite D and have used the space to prepare some of our menu tastings for prospective brides for the upcoming year.

Starting in January, we will be opening the D Cafe at Suite D. We will keep you posted - but imagine our delicious food in our funky space with YOUR COMPANY!  It's a win win all around!

Our first class was delightful and we are excited to plan our other backer reward classes in the near future. 

This class menu consisted of -

Chocolate Decadent Brownies

Chef John started teaching the class of 8 eager students at about 10:30. With mimosas in hand, professional chef's tips were given, questions asked and nibbles enjoyed. By noon, it was time to sit down with a glass of wine and enjoy lunch. We thought that the program was a success and is definitely an activity that we will offer at Suite D.
