What are we making?
Troubled Waters tells the story of a world wide water crises through Jim Hill. A seasoned missionary who stumbles on a small town 12,000 feet above sea level in the Puna region of Argentina. He hears San Antonio de los Cobres is being poisoned by the very thing it needs to survive, water.
After extensive research Jim and the team surrounding him discover alarmingly high levels of Arsenic in the town’s drinking water. He wants to install a filter system for San Antonio de los Cobres but when the reality of raising the money, politics, and power stand in his way he is forced to fight for his vision.Through a mountainous terrain of inner struggle and setbacks Jim and the devoted team of people around him overcome the obstacles thrown in their way and inspire an entire town to stand up for its well being. A series of extraordinary events allow them to install a brand new filtration system; providing clean drinking water for the entire town of San Antonio de Los Cobres.
How we've made it?
* We've raised over $23,000 for production over the last six years
* We've filmed across Argentina and the Southeastern United States and have over 76 hours of beautiful footage which captures this story
* Along with Esteban Rodich, an award winning, Argentine, folk musician we've produced three beautiful unique songs for our film's soundtrack
* A 76 page script has been developed from the footage we've captured over the last six years
* We have an extremely talented crew and internationally awarded organizations involved helping create a high quality, engaging film

What do we need the money for?
James, Drew, and Andrew need to travel to New York City from North Carolina in order to hand over the footage and notes to Juan Leguizamon, our editor who works out of New York. Durring this time we will finalize the script, finish logging the final footage, and work with Juan to begin to layout the rough cut of Troubled Waters.
It takes money to travel and stay in New York City. This money will help the three of us make the trip and in turn make this film. We need your help to raise the money for this trip and make this film a reality.
Remember, all support is 100% tax deductible through our nonprofit sponsor - His Heart Missions.

FAQ
-
Anyone can pledge to back the film. The pledge is promised, once we meet the $4,000 goal the pledge is debited from your account.
-
If we don't reach our goal no money is debited from your account. It goes nowhere. Only if we reach our goal does the money come out. So, in essence with your pledge your are betting that this project will be funded. If it doesn't you don't loose anything.

For the shoes and water bottles you should receive those, if we are successful in our campaign, within a month after the campaign ends. The DVD, t-shirts, and upper level Blu Ray packages with screening tickets will not be available till the release of our film. Our hope is for the film to be released on the Spring 2012 festival circuit. Thus, you should receive those items by April or May. Due to the nature of film release patterns and potential screenings times might vary. Rest assured though we will send it to you as soon as possible. We will send a certificate of promise for the Blu Ray DVD's, ticket's and t-shirts.
