This is incredible! Thank you so much -- we hit 100% of our funding in UNDER 24 HOURS. That's...I'm blown away. I woke up this morning and was just in a stupor because I couldn't quite process what was happening. You can tell in this video above that I'm still in a kind of stupefied state!!
What comes next?
As per usual with this sort of thing, the more money we can raise, THE BETTER THIS GAME WILL GET. Right now there are about 200 cards included in the base version of the game. With more funding, we can add more cards to the base game (adding variety to the gameplay).
We can also start commissioning artist-specific bonus cards from our friends and pals in webcomics! This is a really cool thing that I'm very excited about -- and any of these bonus cards that we're able to fund will be included in every copy of the game at no extra cost.
In addition, there are ways we can improve the game itself -- through upgrades to the game box and the components. We'll lay out these in our list of stretch goals.
A lot of people have been asking for more detail about how the game is played. We're working on a video walkthrough right now to explain it! And we'll be posting the rules as well for you to look over.
Finally, because of the overwhelming support you guys have shown us, we've gotten approval from Grand Central Publishing to share some of the stories from This Is How You Die. I'm going to post the first story later today!

@Jennifer - we're going to exhaust our existing inventory of the slightly smaller cards (I think we have a few dozen sets each) with the Add-On pledges, and then we'll print new, larger ones. The Deluxe boxes will always get the new printing, so everything will match.
Also, the way the game is structured, it doesn't really matter if they don't match. But we would like them to, of course. The only downside is that the smaller size is designed to fit the tins – so the larger sets will get cardboard tuck boxes instead. If you have a preference for one or the other, you can specify in the notes section in your Add-On submission!
@Sterling - we're full up for the moment, but if we do decide to try something like that, we'll be sure to announce it loud and clear!

Question: you mention that the six sets of cards available through topato will work with the game, but they are slightly different sized. The levels of pledge that include those cards -- will they pull from existing stock, or will you be reprinting them with the game so that they are the same size and have matching backs?
