Day 9
Nine days into our Kickstarter campaign and we're at $7,930 in backing funds! That's around 40% of our goal in about 33% of the allotted time! I want to thank everyone who's been involved so far in getting the word out and helping us to make this happen. We're not there yet, but if we can keep up at this rate, we'll just barely make it. Thanks again for all of your support, this is amazing!
In other news, a new reward has been added! Back us at $125 or more and get 4 Piura bars, 4 bars made with the new process plus tickets to the national release party for chocolate made with the new process at one of select partner stores! Receive all the above rewards, plus two tickets for an evening of fun and samples on the release date at one of the following: The Chocolate Garage in Palo Alto, CA; Chocolopolis in Seattle, WA; France 44 Cheese in Minneapolis, MN; The Meadow in Portland, OR or NYC; and COCOVA in Washington, DC!
I'm continuing to work on the design of our new roaster, reading about heat and mass transfer as well as things like diffusion coefficients to try to understand the best ways to optimize this new machine. Still working out the last few details of the primary process and it's implementation. This is an exciting time at Rogue Chocolatier, and it's all because of the support of our fans in making this new method a reality.
Thanks again!
Regards,
Colin

I'm supporting at my best, I know some Choqoa fans are backing as well, and I will continue to spread the project. Failure is no option :)

Edith,
Not sure what's more romantic than the intricate details of craftsmanship, but I'll see what I can do!

Kristy,
Thanks for the feedback. I added a picture of the bars.

Indeedy! For such a dead sexy product you guys have some of the most utilitarian promotional material ever! Where's the romance? Kickstarter needs the romance of your chocolate, I think it would help funding. ^_^

You guys need to post a good looking picture of your chocolate / chocolate bar. I pinned your kickstarter video - but a good chocolate pic would garner more attention.
