When do we say goodbye to our dreams?
A man moving to Los Angeles makes a pact with himself: "I'm giving you exactly seven years to become a working actor, and if you aren't by then, it's time to pack up and go home." This story begins seven days from seven years, and no one of any significance in the industry knows who he is.
This film features Gregor Collins, Karen Worden, Brian Ronalds, Dean Matthew Ronalds, Sarah Prikryl, Christopher Guckenberger, Kevin Deen, Len Cordova, Brian Durkin, Tyshawn Bryant, Benjamin Pratt, Todd Cattell, Johnny Giordano, Raphael Sanchez, Jud Bogard, Jordan Allen, Rebekah Bell, Amy Hamilton, Shann Christen & Frantz Durand.

MORE ON GOODBYE PROMISE & PRODUCTION
The idea for Goodbye Promise was born out of the unknown. We all dream. We all want to make something of our lives, to do or become something great. Yet the painful truth is that years later, most of us will feel no closer to our dream than when we first started. Gregor Collins & myself decided to mold these shared feelings of whether or not we will ever reach our career goals into what has now become 'Goodbye Promise.'
This film is raw, authentic, and created organically. It's strength lies in the honesty and truths of the film's actors and characters. It was shot embracing our limited resources. Having virtually no production budget, we made the decision early to focus on the performances, utilize natural light, and to have no script. It is 100 percent improvisation based on a story outline conceived by Gregor and I. We like to refer to this as an exploratory, experimental feature film.
MORE ON THIS CAMPAIGN
Every dollar that is raised for this campaign goes directly towards completing this film. We are in Post-Production now. Your money helps to pay back the money we have taken out for the film's actors. It also pays for the film's editor, social media producer, & our web designer.
Your pledge will not be carried through unless we meet our goal of raising at least $15,000 by April 22nd, 2010. A successful Kickstarter Campaign will enable us to complete this project without long delays. It will also put me in a position to shoot my third feature film, a comedy, this year. Most importantly, a successful campaign would also allow us to share some really cool incentives with you and others.
You can also expect personal video interviews with members of the cast & crew of Goodbye Promise who will share their own stories.
Any amount you can donate we are grateful for. Every pledge we receive gives us hope that we can continue to pursue our dream and ultimately we hope to inspire you to pursue yours.
OUR MISSION
This campaign is more than us achieving this goal. My belief is that true independent film needs more heroes. We need more shining examples that pave the way for us and inspire. We would like this campaign to serve as an example for what is possible for all of us. I am a believer in Crowd-Funding and I have seen this model work for other filmmakers and artists.
Please watch the campaign video above which includes our 'Teaser' / 'Inspirational' Trailer. Even if you cannot pledge or donate to this project, please consider passing it on to anyone you believe may be able to contribute. Anyone who may resonate with our message. Help us spread the word on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, on your Blogs and anywhere else.
I believe we can have a successful campaign, but it will certainly not happen without your love, support, and generosity. We do not take this campaign lightly. We will respond to each and every comment. We will share our gratitude with each and every one of you who donates.
I leave you with the description from my blog, "I dedicate my journey and this blog (campaign) to all kindred creative souls. For the sacrifices, the daily rejection, the criticism and judgment. May we have it within ourselves to create our own magic to move mountains."
My Best, David Branin
