Sherlock's Home was the most important Sherlock Holmes book of 2012 - about Undershaw - this project is to release language versions.

The project aims to translate Sherlock's Home - The Empty House, into five languages - French, German, Italian, Spanish and Dutch to enable fans all over the world to experience this very special book.

Sherlock's Home: The Empty House was the most important Sherlock Holmes book of 2012, with contributions from around 40 writers around the world. Raising awareness for the Save Undershaw campaign, to save and restore Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's home, Undershaw to its former glory. The book was the brainchild of the #1 fan site in the world Sherlockology and includes contributions from Stephen Fry, Mark Gatiss, Douglas Wilmer and many more famous Sherlockians as well as writers who competed against over 300 entries to get into the book.

We are the publishers so have the skills to put together the language versions, but we need the funds to have the book translated, new covers done etc. All royalties from the translated versions as with the original book will of course go to the Save Undershaw campaign and any extra money raised will go towards producing extra language versions once we have distributed the rewards books.

One of the key aspects of this project is to find the 5 translators that will translate the books. They will of course feature on the cover of the books and on websites around the world so it is an amazing opportunity for Holmes fans to raise their profile in their country. We would be looking for two language speakers, one to translate, and the other to validate the translation. The other aspects of the book production are 'business as usual' for us - getting the translators will be the toughest part. In the event that we struggle with one particular language, we will look at other ones instead so anyone that is interested in getting involved for another language we really want to hear from you.
