World-class classical artists at Ballet Next develop original choreography to live music. Preparing for Fall 2012 season.
Ballet Next is seeking funds to help power original ballet choreography by leading artists and support the careers of up and coming dancers, choreographers and musicians www.balletnext.com.
Your help is critical in supporting innovative new work and providing these talented dancers, musicians and choreographers with a strong, innovative environment in which to practice their craft. Project funds will be used to create all new works and refine Ballet Next original works to be performed around the world, beginning with Ballet Next's Fall Season at the legendary Joyce Theater this October in New York City http://www.joyce.org/calendar_joyce.php.
A sampling of Ballet Next original choreography includes:
"Entwined" by Margo Sappington, music by Satie. Dancers pictured below are Jennie Somogyi and Charles Askegard.
"La Follia" by Mauro Bigonzetti, music by Vivaldi. Dancers pictured are Michele Wiles and Drew Jacoby.
Any funds we receive in excess of this project's goal may be used to further refine and to promote these and other works similarly deemed appropriate and of significant potential by Ballet Next principals and/or directors.
