Update #5: What a difference a year makes......
It was a year ago that life as my family knew it changed. Now, as we mark the start of our second year at Joey's Song, I want to take a moment to look back at what your generous support has made possible:
- We released two highly reviewed CDs containing top 40 hits, grammy winners, musical icons and more.
- The CDs were a Top 5 add on the Americana music charts.
- We have been played on over 200 community, college, internet and commercial radio stations.
- We have been featured on 2 syndicated radio stations; KiDs Place Live (Sirius) and Acoustic Cafe.
- We bought three pieces of playground equipment designed just for special needs kids at Joey's school.
- We donated over $12,000 in cash and in kind goods to the Epilepsy Foundation.
- We helped fund the purchase of anti-seizure medicine for a special needs orphanage in Guatemala.
- We provided financial support for The Sacred Disease, a movie designed to create awareness of seizure disorders.
- We donated over 200 CD's to various child service providers to go directly to the children they support.

Update #4: Artists announced for the CD Release Party!
Joey's Song is proud to announce that 4 of the artists who have agreed to support us are also going to perform at the CD Release Party on January 21st!
Greg Percy and The Retro Specz, Michael McDermott, Ralph Covert and Freedy Johnston will all be performing live. The evening which was already shaping up to be an incredible event with food, drinks, games and raffles has just become even better with these 4 great artists performing.
Now that you know who is playing that night, you can tell all your friends to go to kickstarter and buy their tickets! We look forward to seeing as many of you there that night as possible.
Thank you all so much for your support! As of today we have 93 backers pledging over $5,700 towards our goal of $7,500!
Update #3: Ordering CD Release Party tickets
If you are trying to order tickets to the Release Party and don't see a reward that contains the number of tickets you want to order or you want to combine adult and kids tickets, there is a simple way to handle it.
The way kickstarter works you can't choose two different rewards unless you open two separate accounts, which is cumbersome. Here are a couple of examples on how to get around kickstarters design and order your tickets.
Example 1 - You want to order 3 adult tickets. You can choose the reward for 2 adult tickets and simply raise your pledge from $100 to $150 to reflect payment for 3 tickets. When we see a pledge that has been raised, we will send you a note to confirm your intention.
Example 2 - You want an adult and 2 kids tickets. Choose either the $20 kids ticket reward or the $50 adult ticket and raise your pledge to $90 (1 - $50 adult ticket and 2 - $20 kids tickets). Again, we will confirm your intention by sending you a note.
Also, if you do not see a combination of rewards you would like, you may send a note to kmbaird@joeyssong.org and I will help to make it happen.
Lastly, THANK YOU all for your support! We are now over 60% of the way to our goal.

We are very grateful to April Smith and the Great Picture Show who have agreed to donate some rewards! Come back often as we will continue to add rewards as our artists continue to respond with additional donations.
