The Project will be comprised of photographic portraits and verbal interviews of Oklahoma's who are living with HIV / AIDS.
Statement of Purpose:
This project through the use of portrait photography along with personal stories is to provoke thought and dialogue in an effort to instill a deeper understanding of those affected by HIV/AIDS in Oklahoma a "Red state." The portraits will be placed in jewel cases which will form a one large rectangular grid; Speakers will be installed behind the grid containing the verbal interviews of the people in the various portraits.
Budget:
1. Printing materials:
A. The printing for the "Call for Subjects" to obtain volunteers to participate in this project. These materials will be distributed to clinics and organizations.
B. Printing costs for the necessary consent and waiver forms that all subjects must execute to participate in the project.
C. Costs associated with postcards, posters and publicity materials to promote the show and the opening at the gallery, and public venues as the show travels around the state.
D. Photographic paper and ink for the prints.
2. Equipment:
A. Ipods or itouch will be the easiest and most economical way to organize the verbal interviews.
B. Speakers that will be installed and attached to the ipods/itouch for the audio.
3. Supplies
Jewel cases, Velcro, Wood, Printer ink, Photo paper
