There is no simple expression of gratitude that is sufficient for the support that all of you here have given. And while I am underwhelmed by the these simple worn out words, please, if you can, picture a river under a gentle, persistent rain, bursting its banks and filling up the area all around it when you read them, so you can understand the utter fullness of my sincerity: Thank You
The roads are now opening before us, lined up with the people who will give us the answers to difficult and yet important questions about who we are, to ourselves and to each other. With honest determination, we will follow the paths where they lead, crossing over roads still under construction and under the overpasses, and sometimes even defying the the signs that tell us not to disturb the status quo.
We encourage you to follow us where we go, even though we do not know ourselves exactly where this road leads and where it ends, or even if it has no end at all.
Gratefully yours,
Charlotte Jayelle Wheeler
