THE PROJECT
Production of a 15-minute live-action movie that is personalized in ten places. This includes seeing a name written on objects in the movie, hearing the characters speak the name, and seeing a photo appear in the movie. This makes the entire story revolve around whoever it is personalized for. These special low prices will only will only be available during the funding portion on KickStarter. Below is an idea of how the cover and DVD art will appear, and keep in mind, any name or photo can be used here.

HOW IT'S DONE
You simply E-mail a photo and a name and we take it from there. In this particular story, the name will be seen written on gift boxes. Also, three separate characters, including Santa, will speak the name. To top it off, the photo will appear in Santa's photo album in the movie. If all goes well, soon there will be more personalized movies with different themes. Keep in mind this is 100% live action, not an animated "floating head" type personalized movie.
WHY SO MUCH?
Actually for a 15-minute movie with special effects, that's pretty cheap. Films cost money to make. Actors, props, costumes, crew, food for crew, film permits... and getting insurance to get film permits is a killer. The state of California requires $1,000,000 of insurance to get a film permit. I mean come on! How much damage can a guy in a snowman suit cause?
THE STORY
This first personalized movie has a holiday theme starring Santa Claus. It seems someone is impersonating and elf to steal gifts from Santa. These gifts belong to the child the movie is personalized for. Now it's a race against time to recover the gifts so Santa can deliver them on Christmas Eve. This will involve wacky chases, undercover elves, a cardboard tube sword fight, and of course Santa and his magic. This is a remake of a video I produced 20 years ago, so with today's technology and 20 years of film-making experience, the movie will be far advanced from its predecessor. I've done it before, so there's no question I can do it again.
WHY SO EARLY FOR CHRISTMAS?
This will allow for 3-4 months for production of the video, plus implementing the personalized segments after that. With a month for the project to be funded, plus three weeks after that to actually receive the funding, production can not begin until July.

Yes, ANY name works. Even for audio, the actors will record that name to be added to the video.

A lot! Even though we will use the same basic story of gifts being stolen and Santa helping to get them back, the similarities stop there. The movie of course will be shot in high definition, and with today's technology, will have some impressive special effects. Also, there will be scenes that take place in Santa's workshop, where Santa will interact with some very funny elves. As for the personalized segments, those will be taken to a new level as well. As in the original movie, we'll still see the stolen gifts with the personalized card on them, but the other visuals with the name will be much more spectacular. Everything about this remake will be taken to a higher level.

Yes! As a matter of fact, it makes a great gag gift. I had people order the original personalized for their friends, parents, and even grandparents. It's pretty funny when Santa opens his photo album , see's a picture of grandma, and says, "Oh, how adorable!"

Keep in mind, twenty years ago there was no internet. The first personalized movies were sold on VHS in local gift stores in the Los Angeles area, and they did fairly well.

This personalized movie with an ADDED SCENE with the child talking on the phone with Santa. We will send you a script with three small lines. You film the child saying these lines while talking on the phone and send those to us. Then, through the magic of editing, there will be a scene where Santa is having a PHONE CONVERSATION with the child. Get a PERSONALIZED EXTENDED SCENE. In addition to the video in either standard DVD or Blu-Ray, we will shoot an additional one-minute scene for the movie. You send us more personal info on the child, and we'll write and shoot a scene around it. A favorite toy, a birthday, family members? Whatever you want added, we'll work it into the scene. Also, if you send us a photo of the front of the child's home, the scene will seem as if it took place right in front of the home.

This is the ULTIMATE PERSONALIZED MOVIE! I will fly to you (must be within 100 miles of a major US airport) and shoot an additional scene with the child the video is for. This will then be placed within the movie. Also included are 10 copies of the video (either standard DVD or Blu-Ray) for family and friends. Once the day and hours of the shoot are agreed upon, it will most likely take an hour or two to shoot the segment. Once I am there, we will shoot rain or shine. However, I can't be held responsible for any reason the child can't make the agreed upon shoot. I will do everything possible to make it work during the time I'm in town.
