About this project

Hello friends, fans and family. My band and I are going into the studio this July to work on our third album. Our last album, “Austin to Chicago,” has received critical acclaim and was nominated for an Illinois Blues Award, and we expect even better things from this next project. We have an opportunity to record some of the compositions, and parts of the record at the historic former home of Chess Records Recording Studio (2120 South Michigan Avenue), which is now the home to Willie Dixon’s Blues Heaven Foundation.

And, with expressed interest by some of the finest labels around, this album could very well be the one that gets us signed. These are exciting times for the band and I, and we know every time we play that we wouldn’t be this far without you, our fans.

When we set out to create this new album, we wanted it to capture the love we've been feeling from our fans as we've been developing the material. And then we got hooked up with Kickstarter, who provided the perfect opportunity. With their help, we’re able to let you all play a critical role in helping us record the album the right way, as executive producers. In exchange for your support, we get to express our gratitude with all the cool rewards you see here.

As the climate of the record industry has rapidly evolved over the past several years, labels are expecting artists to shop to them completed projects, and we’re looking for funding to get this record completed by late July for a late fall release, by a large independent record label. After a very successful six-week European tour, we’ve managed to put several thousands of dollars away, but need YOUR help to match their efforts to make this project come to life, and be everything it can be. We have an amazing team together in Grammy Award Nominated Engineer/Producer Greg Magers, our collective of studios (Chess Records, I.V. Labs and Felix Reyes' House of Tone), and the best musicians a band could ask for. 

With expert songwriters Felix Reyes (who penned Susan Tedeschi’s Grammy nominated Title Song “Wait For Me”) and Steve Batterson in his corner, they have written a slew of new material that they have been trying out on crowds all over the world, to great success, and are excited to get in the studio to lay these down.

We would like to thank all of you for all of your support though the years, and will continue to deliver to you the highest energy, highest quality, original music that’s sure to get your blood flowing.
