About this project
My name is Martha Burns. I sing old songs -- mountain ballads, cowboy songs, comic ditties and heart songs -- songs that transport you to other places and other times. I've been singing and playing American folk music for over forty years. I've performed at folk clubs and festivals throughout the United States and abroad. Now, I'm making my first solo album.
Charlie Pilzer, of AirShow Mastering, is producing the album. He's a Grammy-award-winning recording engineer who specializes in folk music. All I need is YOUR HELP.

Martha Burns has been singing and playing American folk music since the early 1960s growing up in New York’s Greenwich Village. A gifted solo performer, she has also appeared in old-time duets and with several top-notch string bands.
