I dare you to take the deadly descent! Battle the elements in this 2d/3d side scrolling iOS action title
Why?
Simplicity. Snow. Serious Storms. Join Dangerous Dave on a deadly descent through the mountains! Fun is the name of the game. We only create games that we like to play and hope that others too will enjoy them...
What?
Deadly Descent is an independent title produced by a (very!) small development team dedicated to great game experiences for the iOS platform. It is a 2d side scrolling action game, but uses a mix of 2d and 3d elements. . Because everything is in 3d, it look and behave much better than your typical sprite based 2d scroller and achieve effects not otherwise possible. Deadly Descent uses a very simple interface - tap to jump and tilt to both speed up on ground or rotate when in the air... Multiple goals exist per level and are awarded with medals at the end of the level - namely getting to the finish before a specified time, collecting snowflakes placed throughout the level, and making a run without too much damage... In addition environmental hazards are being worked on making the route to the bottom of the mountain treacherous! We'll be adding next some heavier snowstorms, with some crazy wind gusts, earthquakes, avalanches, and some other fun dangers for the levels.

Why Kickstarter?
The first three titles I developed were produced by me and a zero to... well... zero budget in my spare time. Having a small development budget on this title means I can offload a few more tasks to get more done before our release to increase the production value, add more art, sound, music and other assets. I'd also love to bring the title to other platforms (Windows, Mac, Android). While my primary focus is on shipping the iOS version, any additional funding over the target will go toward porting to other platforms.

Who?
Josh Blazer Games has been around since 2008 and has shipped 3 successful titles to date for the iOS platform:
Pachinko Puzzle - 40 levels of ball dropping fun based on Japanese Pachinko

Extreme Sports Kayaking - paddle your way through the gates in this fast paced kayaking title

RC Racing Pro - Simulated RC racing for the iPhone/iPad

Where?
We're based in the beautiful northwest - just north of Seattle, WA

When?
We're planning to release in November 2012 just before the winter ski season this year...
Rewards?
There's some great rewards for contributing... While some of the art for the rewards is finished, others are still being worked on. I'll be updating throughout the campaign so you can see production samples of what the rewards look like. If you have questions on any of the items or are outside the US please drop me a note at joshuablazer@gmail.com
Thank you for supporting independent game development!

Wow... thanks for even considering. So what does 10k get you? Well it funds the project and its proceeds. You'll get any of the rewards you want from the list or all of them, but more importantly, you'll be featured as the star of Deadly Descent - I'll remake you into the avatar from pictures and you'll be the one taking the deadly descent in the retail release of the game. Not only that, but if anyone takes the 10k pledge amount, I'll release the game as open source, put the executable up for free on the app store and turn over all the source code and project files to the community.
