This painting was specially commissioned as a gift by Jay, who is awesome, for Luke, who is thankful, and done by Betsy, who is more talented then both of those guys. Fun to 11 is a new company founded by experienced game industry experts dedicated to launching games on Kickstarter. So many game designers have a favorite game or project lying around unpublished, Fun to 11 is on a quest to find those games and projects, finish them, and get them to the people!
Arnd,
Terribly sorry about the wait. You should have an a reply to your mail now!
Still nothing on my end. I sent you another email a couple of days ago, but I haven't heard back. Could you get back in touch please?
My Copy has arrived. It came in yesterday, we managed two games last night. I think it's better than the reviews are making it out to be.
received my copy today (in Australia)
Just got my copy a couple of hours ago. Mexican mail sure is slow, but it's finally here.
Hiya! Copy arrived today and it's looking great! (too bad for the customs here in Holland... had to pay an additional 20 euro's :')
Dave here! I have just done a big round of contacting people who I knew had outstanding problems with shipping or other such issues. I am pretty sure there are some people I missed so if you are having shipping issues or have gotten a damaged box and didn;t hear from me over this weekend, please contact me at dave.freeman@funto11.com so I can get you squared away asap.
My copy of the game arrived yesterday. It is awesome, me and my friends played it today and we had a great time.
Thank you! Keep the great games coming!
I have also not received my Kickstarter yet, and I have sent a message on here, as well. I will also try to contact you, Dave.
Maelic,
Dave here. Sorry about the delay in response to your messages. Could you email me at dave.freeman@funto11.com with your details? I will look up what is going on with your package ASAP and get back to you with the details. Sorry again and please have a great day.
Is there an alternative way to get in touch with Fun to 11? I still haven't received my Kickstarter order yet and the multiple messages I've sent through here and to the e-mails on their website have so far gone unaswered. I'm getting to the point where I'm wondering if I need to start logging a formal complaint with Kickstarter / Amazon and contact my credit card company. I've been really disappointed in the lack of communication and customer service here.
Received my copy down here in Brazil yesterday :)
Just had my copy arrive in the UK. It looks great and I'm looking forward to giving it a test play. However, I got stung with paying import duty as it was labelled "merchandise" rather than "gift" - gifts normally escape having to pay import duty up to about $50 value.
So far no dice on the game arriving in Germany. I'm giddy with anticipation - as are a lot of my friends who'd like to give the game a try...
Bart, thanks for the heads up! Hope my copy will arrive soon :)
I've heard nothing so far about my copy up here in Vancouver Canada.
Glad to hear international backers are starting to get their orders. Still wondering when I'll get my domestic copy...
Mark, I got the game today! So they are arriving in the Netherlands!
Thanks Chris. I hate reading rules, they pretty much always don't do the job as well as a person teaching. We also made a few obvious mistakes in the rules that we need to fix (like not even mentioning the bit about reshuffling your discard pile....ugh...). The team here is frighteningly small, and unfortunately, it shows sometimes more than we would like, but we're glad you liked the game!
I'd love to add some story about the girls too. I'll bring that up with Ken over the Summer - see if we can't get some fiction going. Rob here wants to pitch an animated TV show (I think we'll focus on games of the time being...)
Luke
Guys I have to say... great game. I have only one complaint. It was my first deck building game. I read through the instructions and was clueless. I was forced to watch the video in order to learn the game and teach it to my wife.
I wish you'd included two things:
1) Detailed how to play instructions (like the video shows)
2) A cross reference guide for all the characters (It's fun when you know the stories behind the girls names)
I think I'm going to have to put up my 2nd copy for sale or something. I was really hoping for the original box art as well & my real name :) So I could keep one unopened in my collection.
Both mine arrived in Jpn. I was hoping for 1 of each box art, but maybe I wasn't specific enough. Lol, and I was looking for my name...couldn't find it...then realized it was my nickname here (which no one knows).
But just opened it up, and it looks fantastic. Can't wait to try it.
Should I have received my copy by now? I was away on a trip and when I came back I had some notifications from UPS on my door for a package that got sent back. I am worried that it was this game. I hope not!
Can't wait for my copy, anyone in the Netherlands who received their copy already?
Hey there,
Just receive my copy today and had a sooo nice evening at my game club.
Many thanks for this great game, it's just too bad that the game box has been squashed during transport.
Regards
Good questions Dahlia
1: Just the other ones. Survive abilities happen before class "ends" so the cards in your class haven't gotten to the discard pile yet.
2: (never got this one before, going right into the FAQ). They are removed from the game. This stops the game from slowing down as the decks are sorted and put in the right piles.
Ok, so questions/comments while playing...
1: If a card says "survive: shuffle all faculty in your discard into your deck" does that mean the teachers in that current class go back into the deck or just all the other ones?
2: If/when a player is eliminated, does their cards go into the prospective discard piles or are they taken out of the game all together?
THANKS!!!!
Got my USPS notification today.
I just received notification from the USPS that my package has shipped, I presume its part of a wave of international orders.
Still haven't gotten ours in Tennessee.
I have to say, just finished playing the game for the first time last night. While I really like it, I think the included rules book needs a LOT of work. I was happy I had watched through most of your videos so I knew more of the nuances, but there were a lot of questions that came up that I didn't know the answer too. ( and drinking while playing didn't help my memory) I think you should include a downloadable insert on your website to cover some of the missing rules. Like do substitutes and transfers stay in your deck after entering your purchase pile? Transfers are listed as leaving after being in the classroom. What about subs? And locker cards have a mallot and shield. But I thought they went straight to your locker.....?
Are there any known expectations on when copies should arrive in Canada?
Got my first full play in. All comments I've gotten from friends is that the artwork is FANTASTIC! I love the Officer Dagon a) because the card art is great and b) because I can easily envision him beating me over the head with his stop sign. I cannot stand getting him in my faculty. Great job guys.
Neal. When turn order is reversed, you end up buying faculty for the player who goes after you (so you switch the direction of the turn as well as who you buy for). That is just about the worst Seth Thaggua example I've ever seen! - Yikes! That is how it works, but it rarely ever works that well. I hope it wasn't too late in the game...
Just got the game, looks beautiful! You guys went all out with the artwork, bravo! Can't wait to get my friends over to the house to play it. Keep up the good work.
Taking one of my sets to a local boardgame store that has a monthly free games day. Will play with many people and see how it goes. Is there a place I can send interested parties where they might be able to order standard editions?
Oh, I forgot, we had another issue, that I wasn't sure if it was intentional or not. We had Seth Thaggua survive for a player when they had no deck left. Are we really supposed to pull all their teachers from their discard and shuffle them and put them as his deck? Seems like rather cruel and unusual punishment, but that's how we played it.
I can't find a FAQ anywhere else, but am finding answers to my questions here (thanks for clarification on Locker cards). We had a question on one of the events saying that the turn order was reversed as well as to whom you give teacher cards. Does that apply to all other cards that talk about handing things to the right or left, or just the turn order and teacher passing?
Game is great, looking forward to playing our second game today. Thanks and congratulations!
Going to take it to a local gaming group on Thursday. Hopefully they'll like it.
Played my first game today, 4 players. We stumbled through the rule book and played things wrong for half the game (We were discarding cards as paying for cards.) After we figured it out, it was crazy fast fun.
We also had a locker problem. One guy just loaded up in his locker and went to town. I'm thinking of using done of my custom cards to add a locker search effect to some faculty or Pop-a-lock year 3s. The faculty will make you discard (one/all) cards in your locker on survival or something. The pop-a-lock year 3 will have BFF: take one card from a locker and put it in your locker.
Something like that.
Woot! got it in the Mail and taking it to Ohio to share with friends.
Got mine today! Excellent game. Thanks for all the hard work.
How are things going on the international shipping? I want to get some idea how long I'm going to wait (Australia).
I know you don't particularly care about individual updates, but I just wanted to say I got mine in yesterday, it looks beautiful, and my daughter will be so happy :) thanks!
Got Mine yesterday. It looks beautiful.
I have not played it yet... But all the components are there.
Luke said on an FAQ somewhere in the internet that the Friendly/Nightmare and Girl Power stats on Locker Cards do nothing... at this time. Expansions may refer to those values on cards in the store shelves, so they're required to have a stat even though they aren't used in the base set. I'd also expect that at some point you could end up with a Locker card in your deck by some evil Miskantoic trick- they're powerful if they ever got into your hand! Also, throwing Candy at a Chtulu lunch lady would just be science, right? :)
Got my copy today! Looks amazing! Can't wait to show it off at the local comic shop!
Just got my copy today. My wife is currently kicking my butt in our third game (14 to 2!).
One question: why do the locker cards have point generation/girl power/resolve values? I cannot see anything in the rules about being able to use them in that manner.
Got mine today, looks great and arrived in perfect shape. Except I had requested the Regular/logo box and got the KS special edition.

Aside from that little nit, wonderful packaging.
