Big checks have been sent, dice are being made, cards are being printed, and it’s generally getting very exciting around here. We are right on time with production, so no issues there.
We were hoping to get a booth at GenCon this year to promote Castle Dice, but by the time we were ready to pull the trigger, all the booths were taken! We’re on a waiting list, in case anyone drops out, but I doubt that will happen. We looked around for other good sized shows that we can attend instead and ended up booking a booth at Origins. Origins is no GenCon, but it’s still got thousands of attendees so we figure it’s the next best thing in our budget/time frame. Origins is earlier in the Summer, which means we’ll need to do some tricky shipping to ensure we get a small amount of product to the show, but we think it’s important to get the word out any way we can. If you are planning on going to the show, contact us directly and we can arrange pick-up at the booth so you can get you your product a few days earlier. Maybe Jay can organize an impromptu “backers tournament/event” as well!
This is all getting very exciting here and we can’t wait to play our first games with real product. After Origins, we’ll likely hold some local “launch” events near our various offices (Portland, WA – Pittsburg, PA – and Lebanon, PA) for any backers who want to come in and enjoy a night of Castle Dice fun. We’ll get details of those events out when we get closer.
Thanks everyone! We’re almost there…
