I am humbled and grateful to all of my friends, family, and especially complete strangers who donated.
I'm not going to lie: while it will help, this money won't cover the majority of my expenses. Both of the awards are still available for anyone who would like to continue contributing. I have also been persuaded to consider those who might not live in either Austin or Madison for the $100 award: if you contribute said amount, I will mail you preserves, cookies, candies, and other non-perishables of a similar value to the meal-for-4 award.
That said, there are many other worthy projects on kickstarter. I encourage everyone to check them out before donating to me.
