A project to create a portfolio of large, tremendously colorful portraits
Hello, My name is Oger and I am a self-taught painter from Denver, Colorado. The hardest part about learning to paint is staying motivated, and having specific goals and deadlines is the easiest and most effective way to combat that.
I love to paint, but more, I love to paint for people. That's where you come in! I need to practice faces, and pulling photos off of facebook has been done to death, plus its a little creepy. I plan to collect photos from backers, and paint big, colorful portraits of them. Since I'll hopefully end up with more photos than I'll ever be able to paint, I'll have to choose from a 'pool'. If I choose your photo, I'll send you a digital photo of the painting, and let you know when and where your portrait will appear in an art show.
I have been featured in a number of art exhibits and shows around Denver, but none with just portraits, so I am excited about this project!

Haha, really? Shoot, I'll fly or drive to wherever you live (US only please) and paint your portrait in front of you! The canvas will be whatever size you like, too. I'll even let you keep the original! I guess I could write a dedication or a truly terrible poem on the back of the canvas too.
