Our unique magazine will be just like the women who read it ... beautiful, relevant and inspiring both inside and out!
I really have a passion for reaching the women of Central Virginia. Whether she has just graduated from college, is a stay at home mom, owns her own business or is an active senior adult, I am looking forward to providing an amazing publication to encourage her along life's journey.
I recently published a wedding magazine (check out our online copy by clicking here), and the response was so positive that I have decided to take my business a step further and publish a bimonthly women's magazine ... clutch, the girls' guide to everything essential. From its regular columns to the special interest stories, I want to cultivate a zest for life and a desire to try new things. Life is a journey, and I am so excited to showcase the fun things there are to learn and do along the way!
I am raising money for the printing costs along with fair wages for my layout designers, editorial assistant and writing staff. This is a project that I want to "kickstart" and then have it fund itself after we gain an advertiser base.
Also, more than funding, you will have the opportunity to be a part of our field team who will help to guide content for our readership. How fun!
Here is a little about the magazine's format: We have a unique 7"x10" size, a matte finish and rounded corners, which are definitely eye catching. More than just being beautiful, the publication will also have regular columns along with feature articles in each bimonthly publication.
Without giving too much of the fun away, here is what we are planning for our debut issue:
Regular columns on fitness, health, family, beauty, home, food, city life, parenting and book reviews. This is in addition to showcasing events on our calendar and having reader submitted content in the form of questions being answered and fun, local photos.
Feature articles including a fun product idea photo shoot, a "pay it forward" event focusing on children, an amazing journey three locals are setting on and exploring the arts community.
I have a staff of designers and interns along with writers, and I feel that I will be reaching the women of Central VA while also providing the opportunity for the women on my staff to be creative and explore their talents by using print media to showcase their work.
So, I would love to get this first issue off the ground. Since it's by the women of Central VA for the women of Central VA and beyond, I would love to see this become a community effort. Thank you SO much!!
