Bowling Green is a great little town. It's got its fair share of local sit-down eateries and a plethora of drive-thru and pizza places. At the end of the workday, lots of people want a good meal that's better than fast food, but without the commitment -- waiting for service, waiting for food-- that a restaurant meal involves.
For those folks, Daddy's Girl will provide a tasty alternative. We'll serve comfort foods like meatloaf and lasagna with side dishes and desserts. My main audience will be busy families with kids on the go. While I'll focus on the dinner crowd, I plan to offer lunch to go, desserts and finger foods for small parties.
I have the space lined up with easy access and parking. I've worked up a budget, done tons of online research into financing and business plans and suppliers. I've registered a website, got a gmail address, got a Facebook account and started costing out recipes. I've got prices on equipment (Whew! That range hood is a killer.) and supplies.
Now, I'm asking you to help me make this work without going in over my head with bank loans. I've set the goal kind of low, but REMEMBER-- a project on Kickstarter can be funded way beyond the initial goal. So if I get what I'm asking for on Day One (so optimistic, I am), continue to share this with your friends throughout the 30 days the campaign will be online.
While the rewards offered are intended for local backers, I'll be glad to print up a Daddy's Girl t-shirt for my far-flung pledgers! And of course, you'll be listed on the website (coming soon!) as a Backer of Good Taste.
