The photostory of Mom's Life before her Death - a book trying to help others in going through a loss, reaching out to them with a shared experience.
This project is very personal and important to me: it is the story of my mother's life before her death.
I hope that these photographs can now serve a larger audience. Many people have asked me about dealing with the death of a loved one, and so I've decided to use some of the hundreds of images from my family's journey, make them into a book that can be given to Hospices and Bereavement Centers. I hope that others suffering through a major loss might possibly benefit through seeing a shared experience.

UPDATE #3
Again, first off I need to say THANK YOU and express a huge sense of gratitude to everyone. Because of you all, this project has already accomplished many achievements, sparked wonderful conversations and put actions in motion. I humbly thank everyone for the support.
Quick and to the point - editing is going very well and the project is garnering publicity. One remarkable article is by the editor, Mike Davis. Davis (whose resume includes National Geographic, the White House, and others) wrote a piece spotlighting the project on his website:

This week, I hope to get some quality time in with the book's designer and begin sketching out some of the uncompleted written features of the book... (To read more click on the blue "Updates" tab, above)
-----------------------------------
Mom called me a few years ago and asked me to come over - she specifically told me to bring my camera. I've been a photojournalist for about 8 years now, and she loved talking to me about story ideas, so I figured it was simply another idea (or maybe a pretty flower in the garden).
However, that afternoon she told my father and me that she had a tumor in her lung. She asked if I wanted to photograph her journey. She didn't want to call it a battle or a fight - those words were too violent for her. She considered it a journey because she wanted to survive, as well as embrace the joy of life with what time she had.
And so we began a project together. The next five years we spent documenting her life, loves, and ultimately her passing.
Through everything, she continued to live with tremendous passion. Quilting was her favorite hobby, and she sewed until the day she died. Time with family was very important, and we had some great times. Eventually though, bad news kept coming. She went through more treatments and we spent a lot of time in hospitals.
There were painful times, such as when her veins collapsed, and beautiful times - like when she got to meet her new grandson (who actually had more hair than she did!)
I hope that this body of work - which is so personal to me and my family - can now serve a larger audience. Many people have asked me about dealing with the death of a loved one, and so I've decided to use these images, make them into a book that can be given to Hospices and Bereavement Centers. I hope that others suffering through a major loss might possibly benefit through seeing a shared experience.

The prints I'm offering as rewards are not from the Details in Dying story. They will be images from my archive of outdoor and nature images. You can see some examples on my website: http://www.loganmb.com
Thank you very much for your time and assistance.
