About this project
It’s been eight years since the release of Crooked Fingers’ Reservoir Songs EP, which found the band—led by former Archers Of Loaf frontman Eric Bachmann—covering songs by Prince, David Bowie, Queen, Kris Kristofferson, Neil Diamond, and Bruce Springsteen. Crooked Fingers intended to release a new set of Reservoir Songs every year or so, but the idea faded in favor of other projects.
After requests from fans for a follow-up, Bachmann found the time to arrange and record Reservoir Songs Volume II, which will include his versions of great songs by The Kinks, Moby Grape, Merle Haggard, and others. Rather than a standard CD release, Foreign Leisure Records and Crooked Fingers will be pressing a very special limited-edition vinyl 12”, each of which will be hand-numbered. The art for this sleeve will be created by Jay Ryan, who will print the sleeves at his shop, The Bird Machine. There are no plans for a CD release.
Our target amount reflects the recording and manufacturing costs of the vinyl, plus the royalties to be paid to the authors of the songs. Any amount raised above our target will be put toward the recording of a new Crooked Fingers LP. We are aiming for an early summer release.
