This emerging artist started her operatic journey in 2001 when she became obsessed with the physical expression of music many call singing. Opera (the ultimate manifestation of singing) became her medium of choice when she discovered her visceral experience could be transferred to her audience with this music more effectively than any other.
Panayotis Terzakis is known for his versatility as a bass, adapting his voice to various styles and genres. Born in Athens, Greece, Terzakis holds the Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music from the American College of Greece (Deree College), and a Diploma in Classical Voice from the Attiko Conservatory of Athens. In August of 2003, Terzakis was honored with a Fulbright Scholarship, studying at the Longy School of Music in Cambridge, Massachusetts. There he completed the Master of Music Degree in Vocal Performance. Appearances in the US include recitals and productions in The Jarvis Theater in Napa, CA; the Sol Fest Opera Program in Key West, FL, 2004 & 2007; The Pickman Hall in Boston; T. Eliot Library (Harvard University); M.I.T.; Brandeis University; King's Chapel; The Hellenic Cultural Center of Watertown, MA; The Center For The Arts in Natick, MA;
Monifa Harris is a mezzo soprano whose natural sensitivity and musicality motivates her development as a vocalist, professionally, in community service, and spiritually. Monifa holds a Bachelor of Music from University of North Florida and a Master of Music of Opera Performance from Longy School of Music in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Monifa has performed in the following roles and musical projects: Giovanna in Rigoletto with Opera Company of North Carolina; selected arias in Messiah performed by The Carolina Ballet; “Erbarme Dich” of St. Matthew’s Passion in the Annual Musician and the Muse Collaboration between musicians and poets; Mamma Lucia in Cavalleria Rusticana with Triangle Opera Studios. A memorable moment was when she performed a series of spirituals for the 2005 revealing of the Marian Anderson stamp in Boston's Main and Roxbury post offices.
