James and Kevin,
We'll definitely be re-thinking how we introduce swag if at all. Swag wasn't factored into the selling price of $55 dollars, though i can see how it would seem that it was. We'll probably introduce it as a simple stretch goal or some other reward that makes it obvious that the Backer isn't buying it.
The dice bag though is something you can use for your game, so we intent to keep that as something you can upgrade to.
Creator James Barnes on October 31, 2012
I am so sorry this did not make it's funding, I was looking forward to this game and thought it should have made it. For the future please be sure to advertise this game on boardgamegeek.com. I only found this game because of a list of Kickstarter projects on that site...and I came upon it almost too late. If I had seen an advertisement, I would have found it sooner and I am sure many others would have too. But I may have missed the advertisements...I just don't know
I also agree with Kevin Bopp below. Buttons, t-shirts, braclets are of no interest to myself. What is really interesting is anything related to the game or game play and anything that can improve upon the gaming experience. I am a real sucker for expansions, upgraded components, linen cards and awesome artwork.
Creator Kevin Bopp on October 30, 2012
Christian - You'd mentioned some of the ideas for reducing production/distribution costs when round two gets started. For what it's worth, I think you can probably eliminate most of the swag (buttons, bracelets, etc.) without diminishing your support. Since only 24 of the original backers pledged below Level 3, folks were sold on the idea of potential of Evil Intent, not throw-in freebies. Also, as you consider lowering the quality of game components to save money, please keep frequently used (and easily damaged) items like cards and tokens durable and attractive. Thanks much. I can't wait to see this project come to fruition!!

Good lord, how did I miss this before? Let me know when wound two happens and I'll do everything I can to help spread the word! I blog a lot about Kickstarters & have a lot of friends who do too, but hadn't seen this come across- This looks too good to not succeed.

Awesome Scott, thanks for the support!
Creator Scott Laughlin on October 17, 2012
Keep going Christian. I'll be back for round 2. I want to see this game get made!
Creator Christian Strain on October 17, 2012
No worries Trevor... we'll be back!
Creator Trevor Kindree on October 17, 2012
I know it's not over yet, but with 54 hours to go and $35,460 to raise, the outlook doesn't look too good. Going to keep an eye out for this one, as it stands to be a great addition to any table. Best of luck!
Creator Christian Strain on October 17, 2012
Don't worry Dan, there's no way we're letting that work go to no use. We still believe it's a great game and we'll be back with it. Stay tuned on our Facebook and Twitter!
Creator Dan Rubado on October 17, 2012
Really bummed to see even a delay in this game getting to my table. Really love the concept and design, and gameplay looks great. If there's a way to make this happen, please do. I am pretty much just waiting for the chance to throw money at you.
Creator Christian Strain on October 11, 2012
Don't worry. The game will be made one way or the other. Stick with us here and we'll keep everybody apprised. In the meantime, keep telling your friends up until the last second.
Thanks for the encouragement!
Creator Tina Tipton on October 11, 2012
Maybe you can offer the dice bag and tee shirt as an add-on? I can't understand why this game isn't shooting past goal. Sigh.
I want this game.
Creator Noah Callaway on October 6, 2012
Looks awesome! To the Facebook!
Creator Christian Strain on October 4, 2012
We can do it. We had a lot of people look around but not back because they were waiting for the game play video. When those guys come back and find it plus all the art, we're sure to get a big bump!
Creator Glen Green on October 4, 2012
hope this gets made with 15 days to go

Thanks so much Brad!
Creator Brad Angel on October 1, 2012
I posted this in the main boardgames section as well to help stir more interest.
Creator Christian Strain on September 30, 2012
No you're correct, there is no solo variant.
Creator Carroll Best on September 30, 2012
Hi Christian, someone on Reddit asked if this has any solo play variant? Looking at the rules, it looks like not, but wanted to ask to definitely be sure. Thanks!!
Creator Dan Byrne on September 30, 2012
I want this game to happen! it looks amazing!!!
Creator Carroll Best on September 30, 2012
You're welcome!!

That sounds great Carroll! Thanks so much for your efforts!

Oh, I forgot. Also with Reddit, I made the mistake of sending the posts/links directly to the moderators by sending them through the mail icon. DON'T Do that!! Towards the bottom right of the screen, there's a button that says, "Submit a Link." Click that and you get the option to either enter a link ( i.e. link to this kickstarter page) or text, which you would just be adding a text about whatever subject you want. In the 'subreddit' line, enter either boardgames or crowdfundedboardgames, and you will enter your message on either of those pages. Boardgames are for all boardgames, and crowdfundedboardgames seems to be more geared towards Kickstarter, etc. So you know, from what I gather, alot more people view and are on the boardgames page. Take care!!
Creator Carroll Best on September 29, 2012
If anyone wants to go on Reddit, it's easy to create an account. You don't have to give any personal information. There's a ton of gamers on the site and signing up is the only way to enter comments. Same for boardgamegeek, I believe too!
Creator Carroll Best on September 29, 2012
Just so you know Christian, I put a link to this Kickstarter page on Reddit early yesterday morning after emailing you the day before so that you know. The link is: http://www.reddit.com/r/boardgames/search… I also started mentioning the game on boardgamegeeks.com http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/131006/evil-intent Hopefully you don't mind, I was trying to help you out. Hopefully everyone can start talking up the game on these sites as well!!
Creator Christian Strain on September 29, 2012
Thanks Vash989!
Creator Christian Strain on September 29, 2012
It takes about 30 minutes per player. We've just updated the FAQ at the bottom of the page. Thanks, it's been a long year of development, but it's been so fun we have four more games beginning development! Hopefully, this one will be our first published. Keep telling your friends!
Creator vash989 on September 29, 2012
yay great gameplay video
Creator David Bailey on September 29, 2012
Love the new gameplay video. I can tell a lot of time has gone into building the game! Do you have a feel for how long it takes to play a game at this point?
Creator Christian Strain on September 28, 2012
Working on that right now actually. Should have it done by tomorrow night. We'll send out a new Backer Update letting everyone know as well. Thanks for the help!
Creator Brad Angel on September 28, 2012
From the examples I've seen, they usually have a link to the Kickstarter page or to a review about the game. Would it be possible to get a video of some basic game play?
Creator Christian Strain on September 27, 2012
That's a great idea Brad. We'll look into that. Any suggestions or examples you can think of would be helpful. Thanks!
Creator Brad Angel on September 27, 2012
Have you thought about posting an overview on Reddit?
Creator Christian Strain on September 25, 2012
Thank you for your enthusiasm! Yes, the characters have individual abilities, and some of them are close to what you describe. Natasha Petrova's ability (woman with the eye-patch) for example is avoiding certain Agent Cards. You'll find Agents to be invariable troublesome.
Master Sheng's (Chinese wizard) Minions can't be killed, and Hoppy (an intellectually-enhanced lab bunny) can reroll his attempts at influencing opportunities.
Each character's ability speaks to their character and are well balanced.
Creator Jim Hansen on September 25, 2012
I'm dying to see how the game mechanics work. Are the villains going to have variable powers? Maybe the businessman is good at purchasing media personalities while one of the attractive women is more effective at kidnapping/seducing scientists and the general can create extra minions or henchmen.
Creator Christian Strain on September 24, 2012
Thanks Glen! With everyone's help in sharing and tweeting, we just might make it.
Creator Glen Green on September 24, 2012
i hop this reaches its goal looks to be a blast
Creator Bruce Powell on September 21, 2012
I will crush you all! Muahahaha... :)
Creator Christian Strain on September 21, 2012
To be clear, the Level 7 Backers are illustrated onto cards, not figures. The Natasha Figure will be about 10 inches tall and made of PVC fully colored.
There are spots open for four categories. It's first come first serve. The categories you can choose from are:
Scientist - 5 spots left
Politician - 6 spots left
Media - 4 spots left
Entrepreneur - 4 spots left
Pick a specialty if you like, such as Scientist: physics, Politician: Ambassador from China, Media: Stage Actor, Entrepreneur: Acme Studios CEO. Businesses must be fictitious unless you are the sole owner of the business.
If you'd rather us pick a spot for you, we can do that too.
Creator Branden T. Sprenger on September 21, 2012
Throwing causion to the wind as well as my support for this project. It sounds like a fun/interesting idea for a game. How big will the figure be and if I go with the $250 pledge do I get to pick what my character would be or will it be a surpise?
