The Archer Puppies are a race of cartoon dogs that flee into space when their war-like tendencies destroy their home planet. Each different society struggles to survive in the unforgiving universe in which they are the only intelligent space fairing species. Typically this leads to very unpleasant situation given their different environments. These are their stories.
The Tales of the Archer Puppies #1 tells the story of Skaut, one of the many scouts for his flotilla. He is constantly sent on very long distant journeys to check out new planets with life on them to see if they may be eligible for habitation. Every planet has its own individual dangers, the worst of which is the large predatory life forms. The comic follows him as he tries to survive the the continuous attacks from these life forms who wish very much to have him for their next meal.
My story takes a different approach to the space opera/sci-fi genre in the way that the Archer Puppies are alone in the universe. There are no aliens palling around with them, advancing or helping them in any way. They are on their own out there and it gets rough. The style is cartoonish, but there is a moral behind the scenes. The cover is color inside is black and white. Archer Puppies is intended for older teens to adults.
This kickstarter project is to raise money to finish and print the first run of the first book. I'm really pouring my heart into this project.
