To all of you,

This kickstarter project was nothing but coffee talk 6 months ago.  As a business owner/working chef/amazing lover/lead meatball maker I have my hands full. That being said, there is no way this project could have taken flight without all hard work put forth by Eli, Lauren and Jason, who met with me weekly to pull this together, and of course the filmmaker, my very dear friend Erin, who not only flew in from Denver to film but also finished editing our beautiful video while working in Bolivia.

Do I feel grateful? You bet.

Saying “thank you” can not even begin to express my gratitude. I am grateful to the steady supporters in my life and I am grateful to every single person that has contributed to our project. I’m grateful to Ani and Adam who brought us over the 100 backers mark and to Susan and James whose donations brought us over $10,000. Every single contribution is remarkable and, for me personally, completely overwhelming, to say the least. The support system I found here in Pittsburgh over 17 years ago is truly amazing. Now as we have surpassed 65% funding in just 12 days, I am floored.

We have to start this update with a hearty “Thank You!” to everyone that has already given to the campaign. We love you all and are so touched by your generosity.  As of this moment, 43 of you will be receiving the recipe to our Spicy Gorgonzola Mess, ensuring that the magic behind our most popular appetizer will become one of the worst kept secrets in Pittsburgh!

We had a very busy and exciting weekend here at E2. Our official launch at the TeeRex Friday night was awesome! Tons of folks stopped by to try some olive and walnut tapenade, pesto, and, of course, gorgonzola mess on our house-made focaccia and washed it down with a couple beers from East End Brewery, courtesy of the TeeRex. We also had a pair of laptops set up and anyone who donated to our campaign at the event received an extra “thank you” in the form of a card for a free OMG. 

In addition to our normally scheduled busy brunches and delicious dinners, we hosted two fabulous events in our party dungeon this weekend. Do you have a special day or event coming up? Consider a pledge of $2,000 for a party of 20 or $5,000 for a party of 50 in our renovated space after the campaign ends!
