Hello and welcome to the "Godly Acts" project.
What am I doing?
A series of five large oil paintings depicting events from the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. This project is an exploration of the godly and the heroic in each of us, through the lens of Jesus Christ, in an effort to build a new dialogue about human potentiality from an already established source.
Why am I doing it?
The story of Christ, for non-believer and believer alike, is an inspirational one. The theology established around Christ is not about blind deo-centrisim, but is about the potential of humankind; of the individual. It's about who we are and what we can become. I feel that this is a subject worth exploring artistically, and one which is as pertinent to us today as it has ever been.
What do I need?
I need help funding this project. The major costs include:
- Studio rental fees for the duration of the project (this is a big one).
- Material and supply costs.
- Framing costs.
- Art moving and handling fees.
- The installation and rental costs for a gallery showing.
- Time & labor costs.
- Funding of donation incentives.
