Holy crap I'm at 1,000 miles! It was a weird stretch there so sorry for the lack of communication but there are several new blog posts if you are interested in catching up, here. You may have to track them chronologically for some of it to make sense, but at the very least, there are some pretty pictures.
Hope this finds you all doing well.
Those of you getting poems, you should be getting them soon, thanks for your patience. The motivational videos are in the works as well.
What a crazy trip.
Photo 1:Feels like I'm going this fast:
Photo 2: ...even though my shoes look like this after 18 days:
Photo 3: Laundry day. They didn't want me to stand there in the place with no shirt on while I washed everything I had, so they gave me this shirt. Sweet.
Rolled in to Erwin, TN(in the photo. Yes, I got rained all over, yes it was sundown, and yes Erwin and the Nolichucky River are pretty) to see that we're over the funding goal. Fantastic. Really Fantastic.
The support feels really good. After walking a muddy, loooong 24 miles in here, it's just great to have the support of so many folks. I'll do my best to make the project interesting.
Expect special updates for you all here and updates to the blog on a regular basis.
For those of you getting poems, I'll get to work immeidately.
Feel free to email with questions or comments. Because my phone keeps running out of juice, somehow there are places on this planet that still don't get cell reception or I'm just trying to hike my ass off, I can't promise I'll respond quickly, but I will get back to you.
Nice work everybody.

Posted a blog entry that I'd been working on out in the field. Wanted to get it out first so you'd have something to read. Check it out here: walkitoffnottoli.com
I have a ways to go towards the funding goal but I'm sure we'll make it.
Thanks again and more soon...

You can come out and hike with me for up to 3 days and two glorious nights. Sleep in a shelter with stinky hikers, crap in the woods and get devoured by mosquitoes. Oh, and get your head out of the 'real' world and back into the real of nature. Your nature.Estimated delivery: Aug 2012

I’ll come to your house and do a slideshow of the trip, photoshopping you into many of the shots as if we hiked it together. Your choice.Estimated delivery: Dec 2012

You can come and climb the final mountain with me in October, in Maine. It’ll be the drop-dead amazing Fall foliage of your dreams. Gorgeous. Then you can give me a ride back to civilization. **(It’s a 10-mile hike with 4000 feet of elevation gain in 4 miles = pretty strenuous. Make sure that you're in shape or that you have a helicopter.)**Estimated delivery: Oct 2012
