Where does suburbia end and life begin?
HOME mutes the traditional romanticism and nostalgia of youth replacing it with a raw and genuine look at life nestled in Midwest suburbia. As a dysfunctional string of teens and twenty-somethings -- dissatisfied with the status quo -- piecemeal their place with each other, they experience the awkward beauty of relationships and painful lessons of growing.
BUT WHAT IS THE STORY REALLY LIKE?
Well, check out the Concept Trailer below to get a sense of the tone and texture of the film. We see it as a twenty-something Tree of Life meets Suburbia.
THE MODEL
Piñata Productions of Cincinnati aspires to continue the filmmaking resurgence in Ohio by hiring 65 percent or more of its crew from the Tri-State. We also are implementing an Intern program for high school and college students on this production. Whereby they can have have practical training outside the confines of a textbook. We aren't afraid to empower talented newcomers with seasoned professionals. It is how we can foster artistic growth in cinema in the Region. It is how we can thrive!
WHO IS INVOLVED?
James Bailey (Director . Writer) recently directed, wrote, produced, edited and sound designed his first feature film The Barren Spring. While most first features made with a cowboy mentality can be a travesty, James created a well-crafted, artistic film that is complex, visually engaging and showcases him as an auteur. James has composed original music and sound designed for 12 short films, captured high end voice overs and worked professionally as a Sound Recordist in the field. James understands the process of filmmaking from the practical technical standpoint to the artistic embrace for stories that dare to break the mold.

WHY INVEST?
There are a lot of reasons to invest in HOME. One we have tried to make the rewards to the right pretty scrumptious. The other is you are enabling us to supplement our Production budget. Catering, payment of particular cast and crew along with location and art department expenses....this is where your money will go.
Since Piñata Productions is a complete post production house, we can absorb much of that cost of editing, sound mix, color correction and so on.
