The First Book

Our first book tackles the very important topic of bullying. The picture book will introduce our superhero, Captain Courage.

Who is Captain Courage?

Karson seems like just an average kid to everyone around him.
He goes to school every day and plays with his friends.
Each night, Karson eats dinner with his family, takes a warm bath and kisses his parents goodnight.
But Karson is far from being just an average kid.
A super secret identity lies beneath the surface.
When no one is looking, Karson ducks into the closet and emerges as Captain Courage!

Captain Courage helps kids who need someone by their side.  Who doesn't need a little extra dose of courage once in a while?

Whether a child's fears are imagined or real, Captain Courage is always available to lend a hand.  Have no fear, Captain Courage is here! 

WHO WILLL CAPTAIN COURAGE HELP?

The super cool thing about Captain Courage is that he can help any child that maybe in need of a little extra courage.  We see Captain Courage lending a helping hand in children's hospitals, foster care programs, school systems and right beside children across the country before they fall asleep.

THE GOAL

Our goal is to raise $7,500 to bring Captain Courage to life. We will do this by developing several items to assist children as they deal with real life fears. The items include a children’s picture book, a Captain Courage plush doll, a Captain Courage branded wristband and an interactive website.
With your help, we feel this goal is attainable. We are offering a series of cool rewards at various donation levels.

THE AWESOME ILLUSTRATOR

As if it were meant to be, Ricki and Paula found children's book illustrator Zoe Ranucci online and Zoe is working tirelessly to finish illustrations for the first book!

FUNDING

Funds raised through the Kickstarter campaign will go towards illustrations and printing costs for our first book in the Captain Courage series.  Please help us ensure children always have someone by their side.

Please keep in mind, Kickstarter funded projects are an "all or nothing" proposition. Captain Courage only gets funded IF we reach at least $7,500.

We have big plans for this little guy and we hope you will play a role in bringing Captain Courage to life.
