New direction
We've been paying close attention to what our backers have been saying and we think we have a pretty good handle on what needs to be done differently. So in an effort to compete with the current Kickstarter market, may I present...Ace of Zombies!
(We're joking of course. But given the current success of the Zombie genre and too much free time on a Saturday afternoon we thought it was amusing. Apparently, we're too good at 'deadpan' humor and some of you thought we were serious.)

Could we please have more covers like that? It is terrific!
In fact, please don't focus. Be all over the place. The game is already awesome. The campaign is really terrific and the rewards perfectly appropriate.
But those covers and the humour, THAT is separating you from everyone else and I love that!
As for more promo cards and stuff... leave it for the expansion(s)!

lol, I like the humour & totally got that it was a joke. Would be a great little card to have as a reward :) It's amazing at the Zombie kickstarter projects. For me I'm not a Zombie-addict so I haven't been backing those other zombie projects - since my friends also don't play zombie board games. But Pirates, vampires, robots...and aliens yes please. Oh, and while we're at it, Samurai's and Ninja's :)

To be honest, my first reaction when I got that "may I present...Ace of Zombies!" in my e-mail was pure frustration and I let a "This is just sh*t" get out of my mouth. Fortunately it's a joke but I can fully understand Bobby's initial reaction as I felt the same.
Seriously gentlemen, I you have that much spare time, could I recommend spending it on stuff that could help the project reach its funding goal? A few suggestions:
- Additional reward levels. I'm in Canada and appreciate the flat shipping rate, but I'm pretty sure some people in the US would hop in if they could get the game for a 30-35 dollars pledge, for instance.
- Promo cards.
- Kickstarter exclusive bonus cards.
- And so on...
I sure hope this project will be successful, and I can't wait to play that game. Still, I hate Zombies, and I'll bet a loonie that in 5-6 years a lot of gamers will look back and say that zombies were so 2012.

My vote for the next one is to find a way to combine a Food Network game show, the Zombie Apocalypse, and a version of American Idol, solely focused on Calypso music. Top Chef's Caribbean Zombie Nightmare.

I understand the need to go in different directions. my project is also languishing. I cannot support this. I liked your original game. Zombies don't do it for me.
