The mussings of an old wizard
want to publish book one of several books the journals of a popular wizard
It is often said that one should avoid involvement in the affairs of wizards and dragons... but it is seldom remembered and not widely known that wizards start out the journeys with the memories of young boys; I wont even talk about dragons here. Boys are told this over and over and yet some boys do find themselves "Involved". Some by choice, some by chance, fancy or fate. Are you chosen to be a wizard or do you choose to be one? If chosen, then not by those who warn us to not get "involved," If we choose, then it's not perceived as a very wise course of action to say the least...
I have come to Know that names and the names that persons or places are called become relevant only to their own times by perspective or when joined by some great evil that forever keeps them bound; those are best left un-spoken if remembered. So I have decided to leave them out of my memoirs to protect my self from any such evil and to keep tarnish away from others that may or may not be associated with events described. I leave out dates, keeping only to the telling of the tale, leaving the quibblers to argue the colors of the ink and the strokes of my pen. There are a few names that span the whole of time and those are known, or shall be made known to all, in time. Many names have power like Beacons waxing clear and bright whether seen on far horizons or gleaned from many dusty manuscripts. Many, is the word that only leaves us guessing, guessing about a thing we really ought to know. Now then, sirs, let's not miss the old lesson of the ladies dim reflection or Meet an untimely end like a dirk in the back while marking our map.
