      As I said in the general comments of the game, I have withdrawn my pledges on another 5 games here and I won't come again.
      I'm very sad I had to cancel those pledges.
      There's another game with a half naked lady and a tentacle in the cover of the game. It's The Doom that Came to Atlantic City. I wanted that game and the models very much but if some fools see it and they start writing stupid articles it will be cancelled also.
      I'm giving money to kickstarter and they treat me badly.
      I have received no information about the problem or the cancellation of this project.
      It's clear Kickstarter doesn't care about the people that pledges in the products.
      They only care about the money they're receiving and it seems they are happy enough with their part when they can cancel a project whenever some fool cries wolf...

      It spirals, though. Kotaku believed what Insert Credit said, and failed to do any additional research. (However, they thought Tentacle Grape soda was hilarious and included a quote from the creator as well as the official press release. Nothing from Soda Pop in this recent article.)
      Readers on Kotaku believed what Kotaku said.
      Those people wrote to Kickstarter to complain based on statements that were not factual.
      Kickstarter decided that it was not worth it to continue to support a project that they approved in the first place, and yanked funding, all because of a chain of people believing what they were told. Probably 75% of the people who wrote to Kickstarter would not have been/felt offended if Kotaku hadn't stood up and screamed RAPE in their faces.

      Witch Girls Book of Shadows received funding even though it's entirely about witchcraft, which offends/upsets a lot of people. The only difference is that no large public forum starting screeching about it.

      I get really annoyed when people fail to make decisions for themselves, and just believe the first thing they hear. These are the same people who forward me fear-mongering emails without checking Snopes first, and I cannot stand it.

      Although I'm very upset over Kickstarter's decision here, I think some of you are ascribing ideas/beliefs to them that don't exist. I think this is less about them believing what they were told and more about them believing people when they wrote in and said this offended them. It has much less to do with whether or not the blogs that wrote the incorrect articles are right or not. It has to do with Kickstarter covering their own ass. No investigation was necessary, in their eyes, because it's not about who's right and who's wrong (to them).

      For me it's that they approved it in the first place. They were ok with it right up until somebody stirred up some crap, and as far as I can tell Kickstarter did not actually launch a full investigation into the project. They just believed whatever somebody told them.

      Are you kidding Karl? By dropping the project, they absolutely joined the controversy and drew a line. A line that says a game about murdering people with cars is okay with them, but anime girls is not. They approved the project in the first place. It has been well received and supported. If the had said "Hey, we are just a portal for crowd sourcing the funds, the content is not illegal, so we will not stop them from using our services." That would have been "staying out of the flames"

      Kickstarter is about crowd sourced funding only. I do not mind that they approved this project in the first place, or that they stopped the campaign after some backlash. They are keeping the page up for views, allowing linking to the new funding campaign.

      They did not let themselves get pulled into a controversy outside of what they are meant to do, they did not hide behind some made up idea that they do righteous work. They just stayed out of the flames. I'm glad for that and will support the project at the creators site as well as use Kickstarter for other things.

      You get charged at check out like normal for their shop and i'm a total tool for only now thinking i could have ordered some extra bits while i was at it to take advantage of the flat rate shipping gonna have to see if i can add extra bits in with the editing options on my order

       Also, international shipping is on for $18.95 instead of $10 (as it auto-calculates shipping and adds an extra $8.95 :S)
