About this project

SRIRACHA is a staple condiment in the foodie world!

*Bon Appetit has featured it as one of their ingredients of the year in 2010.

Let's explore how this sauce has created cross-cultural cuisine and influenced many master chefs to invent new recipes.

Background: SriRacha is a coastal city located in Chonburi province of Thailand. It gained popularity by producing a sauce paste made from chili peppers, distilled vinegar, garlic, sugar and salt. This sauce is magical and is called SRIRACHA.

It's very common to use Sriracha to accent flavors and create new dishes such as: Sriracha buffalo wings, mac & cheese, french desserts, sorbets, beverages and much more. Sound interesting? Read on!

So what's the big deal?

This is a movie about Sriracha sauce, but it is a lot deeper than that. Trust me. It's an icon. A star of each dish. A gem.

This film also deals with the story of immigration. It's about how one man, the owner of Huy Fong Foods, had the courage to immigrate from Vietnam to the US and how the Sriracha sauce has made its way to the global marketplace.

How many times have you used Sriracha? Have you thought about its origin and story? Well, now you can get a close look at the Sriracha community. By interviewing fanatics, chefs, and critics, the film hopes to inspire people around the globe about the history of Sriracha. After all, it deserves a ton of recognition.

All funds will be used towards production costs such as the following:

-Original score

-Production Equipment

-Post producting (ADR, Foley, Color Correction)

Thank you!
