About this project
Described by author Dan Manning as "Ren & Stimpy meets Pulp Fiction," Sticky Fingers is an underground internet cartoon series from Bargain Basement Productions. In the tradition of MTV's Liquid Television, the original Heavy Metal, and Cartoon Network's Adult Swim lineup, Sticky Fingers is animation for adults who never grew up. Check out the video gallery to watch previous webisodes. The toe-tapping rockabilly soundtrack is provided by Dangerville.
Sticky Fingers: The Movie! is the full-length feature springing from the webisodes. The script is complete. We've recorded one of our name voice actors for promotion. But there's a long road ahead.
We at Bargain Basement Productions need your help to make it happen. To be totally straightforward, "We" = me, Jason Roth. Aside from voice actors and recording technicians, this movie is one-man show.

1. Celebrity voiceover salaries + expenses
I'm slowly assembling an all-star cast of voiceover guest stars for Sticky Fingers: The Movie!
Aside from their upfront salary, there is also the cost of their
travel, catering, and lodging. Their talent and the name recognition make the cost worthwhile. Recognizable "name" actors are often the only reason
a distributor will look at an independent film.

The legendary head honcho of Troma Entertainment! As writer, director, producer, author, and actor, Lloyd has warped many generations of filmgoers with such classics as The Toxic Avenger, Class of Nukem High, Sgt. Kabukiman N.Y.P.D., Poultrygeist, and many more. Check out TROMA ONLINE for more madness. Lloyd will be giving voice to "The Prisoner" in Sticky Fingers: The Movie!
More exciting guest voiceovers will be announced as the campaign continues (once I can afford them.)
2.Voiceover Recording and Post-Production Sound Mix
Voiceover recording and the final soundtrack mix will handled by a professional audio production studio, River City Studios. Bad sound kills independent films (or any film, for that matter.) Studio time is costly, but worth the expense.
3. 3D Computer Animation, Stop-Motion effects, and Cinematography
Sticky Fingers: The Movie! will not be a typical 2D animated film. I'm shooting for a "mixed media feel" which will make it feel more epic. There will be the occasional CGI landscapes, vehicles, and explosions. The climax of the film will also incorporate stop-motion effects and a live-action sequence to add to the impact. The better the film looks, the more likely it is that a distributor will have interest. The CGI animator, stop-motion animator, and cinematographer are all professionals in their fields, and their time will cost money.
4. Symphonic Musical Score
Bad music can kill a film just as quickly as overall bad audio. I'm going to utilize a full symphonic orchestra to perform composer Rich Vogel's musical score, giving it a full, rich, cinematic feel. No tinny, cheap-sounding synthesized music here. That's for chumps!
5. Production Legal Work (this is a big one!)
Production insurance, actor paperwork, and articles of incorporation will be handled by the legal professionals at Clark Hill. As we all know, lawyers aren't cheap.
6. DVD Duplication, Festival Entry, and Promotions
The work (and expenses) don't end once the film is complete. Donations will aid with the expenses of mastering a top-notch special edition DVD & Blu-Ray release, the cost of entering the film into national and international film festivals, promotions, and sending out materials to potential distributors.
